We're committed to social responsibility.
It's a core principle of our company. We hire people who love to serve—their customers, their communities and their country. We embrace what we feel is our duty to help make the world a better place. Below are examples of our efforts to help our employees, our fellow citizens, and the environment.

SERVING OTHERS

Our people don’t just do a good job. They do good, period. Across the company, our people pitch in to help out—raising funds, helping schools, getting shoes to the underprivileged, and more.

Samaritan’s Feet

Our corporate commitment to this program gets shoes to underprivileged children. Every year, team members from the floor to the executive suite can be seen packing boxes and getting them shipped.

Operation Christmas Child

Several of our local operations support this effort; team members put gifts in shoeboxes, which are shipped to kids all over the world.

Salvation Army

Many of us devote time and donate money to this time-honored charity.

SERVING OUR OWN

Our team deserves all the support we can give them. It begins with training and extends to emotional and spiritual support.

Corporate chaplains

Every location has a chaplain on call. Our program puts chaplains at the service of our hard-working team members—to provide spiritual guidance or emotional support, and to help out with community efforts.

Veteran's recruitment

We reach out to those who served our country. Our veteran’s recruitment program seeks to hire and train good people who proved their dedication in the service. One of them, Alan Johnson, told us, “I made a huge commitment when I joined the Army and it was nice to see a company make the same commitment to me.”

Snider U Training

Training begins on Day One, and keeps on going. We call it Snider U. We hire people who want to excel, and it only makes sense that we help them get better all the time. That’s why training is continual: it keeps our team on the cutting edge.

PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT

We want to serve future generations, too. Within the company, and in partnership with suppliers and other organizations, we are committed to minimizing impact on the environment.

Retread program

Ours is one of the biggest in the country which means we’re having a big impact on reducing petroleum use and landfill waste.

Waste reduction

We abhor waste, and do what we can to conserve resources. For example, we find ways to help fleets lower their operating costs, so goods get to consumers using less energy and fewer resources.

Scrap recycling

We work actively to put scrap tires to productive uses. For example, a lot of them get a new life in playgrounds. Tires that can’t be recycled are disposed of properly, to minimize impact on the environment.

The bigger we grow, the more we attract the kind of people who look beyond their jobs to find opportunities to serve. We’re proud of our team
